Tyger Valley High School

Private High School in Pretoria East

Mrs Hanri Bezuidenhout

Tyger Valley College High School Principal

It is with gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility that I step into the role of High School Principal at Tyger Valley College. This school has been my professional home for many years—a place where I have grown as an educator, worked alongside dedicated colleagues, partnered with committed parents, and supported remarkable young people. Taking on this role is not the start of something new for me, but the continuation of a journey we have been walking together.

What matters most to me is our people. Every learner who walks through our gates deserves to feel seen, to belong, to be challenged, and to thrive. Every teacher deserves to feel supported and valued. Every parent deserves a school they can trust. These principles will guide every decision I make.

I believe strongly in continuity and stability, while also embracing thoughtful and purposeful growth—growth that strengthens our academics, nurtures character, deepens our sense of community, and protects the culture that makes Tyger Valley College special.

As we enter this next chapter together, please know that my leadership will be guided by integrity, openness, and collaboration. My door will always be open, and I am committed to listening, working together, and leading in the best interests of our learners and staff.

I am proud to serve this community and look forward to all that we will continue to build together at Tyger Valley College.

Academics

Our vision is to develop the full potential of each student and to create lifelong students who are confident, compassionate and multi-skilled. We want our students to fulfil their potential and reach their dreams.

Individual attention is given to students, and this is made possible by having smaller classes. All teachers are available daily after school for any student who may be struggling in a subject. A homework venue is provided from Monday to Thursday after school. In addition, the school has a resident Educational Psychologist who deals with students who are experiencing learning difficulties and who require continual support. Parents are notified and communicated with through emails and parent-teacher consultations.
