Christian Ethos 

Our school has a traditional ethos with deep Christian roots. Teaching and learning takes place in a loving, nurturing environment where pupils are developed to become happy, confident and competent individuals. The holistic approach to education allows each pupil to find his/her potential. Bible education plays an important role in the curriculum and further enables children to mature in a protected environment with high ideals and values. 

Academics

Foundation Phase: Grade 1 – 3 


In the Foundation Phase the focus of our teaching is skills based, reading, writing and arithmetic form most of the school day. Learning to read is the highlight throughout the Foundation Phase, however, we also teach the students all about the 21st Century Skills as well as how to become a Global Citizen. These skills prepare our children for jobs that might not even exist yet, we are working on getting our children future ready. 


Intersen Phase: Grade 4 – 7 

In these Grades, the emphasis is still on establishing basic foundations, but learners are led into more abstract thought and independent work. We prepare them for high school by teaching them skills and concepts they have learned. We also promote creativity and critical thinking by encouraging learners to make their own choices within well-established boundaries. 

Sport

At Trinityhouse, sports play a vital role in the overall development of our students. More than just games and competitions, they help our children stay active, build teamwork, and develop discipline. These activities also create a sense of school spirit, encourage healthy habits, and provide a fun way for students to connect with one another. As part of a balanced education, school sports help shape not only stronger bodies, but also stronger minds and characters. At Trinityhouse Little Falls Preparatory we have a variety of sports on offer:

Arts and Culture

Arts and culture are an essential part of a well-rounded school experience. From music and drama to art, marimba band, rock band, guitar ensemble, public speaking and choir these activities help our children express themselves, discover their talents, and learn about the world around them.

Ed-tech robotics lab

Reading is so important from our Grade 0000 all the way until Grade R. Every week our little ones go to the library and get to choose their own books and have a special storytime. This is also home to our language centre where our little ones learn beginner Zulu and Afrikaans.

Two Computer Labs

The only Trinityhouse Pre-Primary to have a heated swimming pool, our Grade 00 and Grade R children take part in our Waterwise Swim Programme in the first and fourth terms. This programme is included in our school fees.

Tuck Shop

Our amphi-theatre hosts our assemblies, Outreach OPD (“Other People’s Day), shows and extra mural presentations. It is a place where we gather as a school to praise, worship, give and have lots of fun!
