Preparatory School Principal

Welcome at Trinityhouse Centurion Foundation Phase

At our school we have a strong foundation, providing the pupils with a well-rounded and unique learning experience. As a school with a strong Christian ethos we instill these values in our daily activities. Not only do we encourage all pupils to strive for the highest level of academic achievement but we also provide a safe and positive environment for them to do so. It is such a privelage to be associated with a school who focusses on Global Competencies, Digital Literacy and expressing ourselves through Inquiry Based learning.

We focus on strategies to ensure our pupils are supported, all are important, valued and motivated to excel. The staff is committed to academic excellence and the respect to all human beings. Our dedicated teachers ensure that all learning takes place in a structured and positive environment.

Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, make this world a beautiful garden.

As a centre of academic excellence, our school offers strong academic programmes whilst affording our pupils the opportunity to grow and develop through excellence in sport and cultural activities too. Trinityhouse is a traditional private school focused on the holistic development of the child. Christian values are fostered in a nurturing environment with Bible Education as part of the curriculum.

Our academic programme is future focussed and aimed at empowering our pupils to fulfil invaluable roles in the future communities they choose to function within as adults. Whilst doing so, we ensure that tried and tested Christian norms and values are embedded in the minds of our future leaders.

We further extend our academic reach with a world class online learning offering. Our pupils and our teachers are able to engage in all subjects via various digital platforms. Online Learning at Trinityhouse manifests as a combination of Internet-directed instruction, as well as face-to-face interaction.

Trinityhouse pupils are encouraged to develop enquiring minds and a drive to learn and self-betterment. We constantly encourage our pupils to maximise their own development by seizing every opportunity we provide and also by creating their own opportunities to do so. Our pupils are confident, determined, industrious yet humble and well-mannered.

The physical and emotional welfare of the pupils entrusted to us is not taken lightly. Our pastoral care programme is aimed at ensuring our children are safe, happy, involved and able to reach their full potential.

At the heart of our school is a highly-qualified, committed and passionate staff without whom, all of the above is merely just not realistically attainable.

Trinityhouse Centurion Preparatory and High Schools are proud to offer an education which is future focussed yet steeped in tradition.

Assessments

Trinityhouse employs Continuous Assessment strategies, including classwork, homework, presentations, and group activities, to evaluate student knowledge and skills. Various assessment methods such as summative, formative, self, group, and teacher assessments are used. In the Foundation Phase, we hold information evenings, feedback meetings, and provide comprehensive progress reports.

The Intermediate Phase includes parent evenings, feedback sessions, and progress reports.

Extramural Activities

Trinityhouse Centurion Preparatory offers an extensive sports program and coaching, prioritizing participation by entering numerous teams in each age group. This allows a maximum number of students to engage in sports activities.

Uniforms

At Trinityhouse, we emphasize that a child's attire and grooming reflect their pride, respect, and attitude towards the school community and education. It is our policy for all students to wear the appropriate school uniform during school hours and related activities, including extra-curricular engagements.

Discipline

At Trinityhouse, our Christian ethos promotes a disciplined lifestyle.

Children are taught to obey parents and authorities, with teachers representing parents at school. We believe that clear behavioural rules create a peaceful and loving environment, enhancing a sense of security and belonging. Respect for these rules is crucial to foster harmonious relationships between children and teachers.
