Cindy Frost

Preparatory school Deputy Principal

With 20 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping every child reach their full potential. My journey began in a Montessori environment, where I honed my teaching skills before transitioning to the Foundation Phase. Later, I took on the exciting challenge of establishing Grade 4 and Grade 5 classes in the InterSen Phase, where I spent several years growing as an educator and leader.

Throughout my career, I have served in various leadership roles, including Grade Head, Subject Head, and Head of Department. As Deputy of the Foundation Phase, I am eager to apply my knowledge and experience to support the growth and development of both students and teachers. I look forward to working alongside a dedicated team and contributing to the success of our school community.

Assessments

At Trinityhouse Centurion, we use Continuous Assessment strategies to monitor and support each student’s progress. This includes classwork, homework, presentations, and group activities, alongside various assessment methods such as formative, summative, self, peer, and teacher evaluations.

In the Foundation Phase, we provide regular feedback through information evenings, one-on-one meetings, and detailed progress reports.

In the
Intermediate Phase, parents are kept informed through parent evenings, feedback sessions, and academic reports.

Bridging Class

Our Bridging Class provides a specialised, learner-centred environment for Foundation Phase students who demonstrate high potential but are currently experiencing low academic achievement. With a small class size and focused remediation, students receive the support they need while remaining fully integrated into the broader school community. This programme aligns with the National Curriculum’s Inclusion Policy, ensuring every child can thrive.

Uniforms

All students are required to wear the appropriate uniform during school hours and for all related co-curricular activities.

Discipline

Grounded in our Christian ethos, we promote a respectful and disciplined environment. Clear behavioural expectations create a secure, caring space where children thrive, feel a sense of belonging, and build strong relationships with peers and teachers.
