What a successful event our annual Inter-house Plays Festival was. All three house plays were not only directed by Grade 11 pupils, but each group of directors wrote their own plays, too! The plays were outstanding. The directorial decisions were extremely mature and attention was paid to the smallest detail. From shannanigans and double crossing in an attorney’s office and terror experienced during a school lockdown to being transported to the land of the Disney characters, and being taught important moral lessons, the appreciative audience was wowed from the start to the final curtain. The adjudicator had great difficulty deciding on the winning play.
Top honours went to Wycliffe house but many of the actors and actresses were recognised for their contribution and talent through various Special Mentions, Cameo Role Awards and of course the recognition of actors and actresses in supporting and lead roles.
There is nothing more rewarding than watching our learners shine on stage.
