It was a morning of great jubilation as our Matrics arrived at school – not so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed – in order to collect confirmation of their Matric results. Many had been up since the early hours, celebrating. And this is exactly what they should have been doing. We are very proud of these excellent young people. The outstanding results which they have produced is testimony to a year’s worth of very hard work and dedication to their studies.
Christie Courtnage, Brandon Dinwoodie, Timothy Hill and Kirstin Reid all achieved 8 distinctions; Lara Broderick, Tanna Brownlee, Christopher Franklin, Natanael janse van Rensburg, Duncan Quick, Jennifer Sinclair and Cole Taylor each achieved 7 distinctions; Mia Boshoff, Reece Davis and James O’Hare received 6 distinctions; Dolly Adeyemi, Geena Bruce and Nicole Smith each achieved 5 distinctions and Samantha Gerber, Ghandani Ghella, Gregory Jacobs, Robyn Leeke, Chiara Nowak and Jessica Schaller each achieved 4 distinctions.
Not only was an abundant crop of distinctions achieved – 224 in total – but we achieved a 100% pass rate and each subject average was above the National Average! What a superb way to see out 2016.
We wish each one of our Matric students an exciting start to 2017 and nothing but success as they embark on the next phase in each of their lives.
