Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge High School took part in the 6th annual Woodlands Junior Masters Championship at Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate. This season marks our best since 2014, as we were crowned the champions of the tournament on Tuesday, 09 May 2017.
The top 30 players had the privilege of a Sunshine Tour Professional joining each of their fourballs for the final round. Reece Haikney, Luka Stanisavljevic and Shaun Jones all gave their professional a serious run-for-their-money. These professionals are currently on tour on the various circuits, locally and internationally. Although Shaun Jones finished tied 2nd (5 shots off of the lead), Luka Stanisavljevic finished tied 6th (8 shots off of the lead) and Byron Anley finished 3rd in the B-Division, the overall team performance over 54-holes was so exceptional that we streaked away at the end beating opposition of the highest calibre
The team has one last opportunity to qualify for the National School Tournament on 25 June 2017 by winning at the Royal Johannesburg West Course. We wish them the best of luck and are already bursting with pride at these achievements.
Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge this year celebrates 20 years of existence. History was made recently when we broke new ground, hosting our very first National U13 Preparatory School Netball Festival from 18-20 May. The following Schools attended the Festival: Cornwall Hill College, Curro Nelspruit, Laerskool Fairland, Glenwood Preparatory School, Sun Valley Primary, Laerskool Unika and Westville Senior Preparatory.
The various teams displayed some wonderful performances and showcased their passion and great team spirit as well.
Second team player of the festival – Result Makaya (Sun Valley Primary School)
Open team player of the festival – Nina Swart (Trinityhouse Preparatory School Randpark Ridge)
Sportswoman of the festival – Makha Mntungwa (Westville Senior Primary School)
The festival was indeed a huge success and we look forward to hosting another exceptional festival in 2018.

“The perfect ending to an incredible week.” After an amazing week of school spirit in the High School’s “Gees Week”, Trinityhouse hosted its first Sports Derby Day called “Founders’ Day” on Saturday, 11 March 2017. Trinityhouse faced fierce competition in rugby, netball and boys and girls hockey against teams from Charter College, Randfontein High, La Salle and St. Ursula’s but came out victorious in the majority of their matches. Overall it was a great day of high school sports, school spirit and pride. Thank you to the schools that particpated as well as to our Sports Coordinator Mr. Agri Zondi who took our sports day to the next level. We so appreciate all the staff, supporters and students who made this day a huge success!
Great excitement filled the Ellis Park Aquatic Stadium recently as our swimming squad demonstrated their skill and swimming prowess in annual Inter-high Gala. Our swimmers certainly did us proud, winning many of the races and even breaking records. We were so proud of our star swimmer, Gabriella Grobler, who smashed a 27-year-old record! What an amazing achievement. We have no doubt that Gabby’s name will be up in lights in the wider swimming arena very shortly.
Competing in the A-League is not for sissies and our little school was up against schools with double the numbers and thus a greater “pool” from which to select the swimmers. But we were undaunted and managed to achieve fourth place which means that the Trinityhouse Swimming Team remains in the A-League in 2018. We have no doubt that our swimmers will continue to give of their best next year, too!
